Aastha Center for Geriatric Medicine, Palliative Care Hospital, and Hospice has been acknowledged by the Central government for next-gen scientific research
We pride ourselves in announcing that the central government has recognized our hospital for conducting advanced research in Hospice and Palliative care. Our hospital has been recognized recently. This recognition will open up a new chapter in palliative care in Lucknow and the entire state. Speaking on occasion, our Chairman, Dr Abhishek Shukla, stated, “The recognition will provide the impetus to improve geriatric and palliative care in the entire state. We are motivated to bring in innovative treatment techniques for our patients”.
The Aastha Center for Geriatric Medicine, Palliative Care Hospital, and Hospice provide senior citizens with primary and specialty health care services. Patients come over for checkups, vaccinations, and illnesses to consult with a general medical practitioner or geriatric experts. Our motto is to provide equitable medical treatment to all our patients.
We look forward to providing them with ready access to the best treatment facilities in this part of the country.
Aastha Geriatric Hospital is the only 70 bedded specialized geriatric hospital in North India. Our specialists and support staff carry out the future of geriatric and palliative care in Uttar Pradesh. Since our inception in 2005, we have treated several patients with a holistic approach to providing comprehensive healthcare facilities. Our hospital is known for extending an ear and creating a caring atmosphere to let our patients get cured faster.
The Central government granted this recognition through the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, the Government of India, under the Scheme on Recognition of Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO). We have also introduced Aastha – an NGO that handles treatment of senior citizens and ensure they live their lives gracefully.
According to our Medical Director, “With this recognition, we are already planning our next steps in increasing focus on innovation and introducing the latest treatment techniques that are already being used in other countries. We regularly interact with renowned hospice centers globally and try to incorporate their best practices. We are grateful to our healthcare staff who have worked tirelessly to receive this recognition.”
The pandemic has laid bare the poor healthcare infrastructure in Tier II and Tier III cities. Advanced facilities like ours must be set up across these cities and towns. It is necessary to provide advanced tertiary healthcare facilities to the vast population in the country’s hinterland. The hospital is finalizing new projects and expects to enhance patient care and help them get well faster.
